Just as corporate directors and corporate officers are tasked to run their
business entities subject to civil laws, social responsibilities and ethical
values, so are elected and appointed union representatives. We have witnessed
failure of corporate directors and officers to live up to accepted standards of
social responsibility and to abide by the laws that govern corporate dealings
and ethical corporate disclosure. The failure of these individuals, as we all
know, has had significant negative ramifications both in the investment
community as well as to the workers employed by the specific business
entities.
Under the leadership and misdirection of District 9, Local 9509 finds itself in
a state of confusion pertaining to federal and state laws that apply to unions,
their officers and their members. When a higher level of authority misguides
and misdirects any local union, which results in fines and punishment to that
local, it must acknowledge its actions and take its fair share of the
responsibility. I am not excusing the actions of the Local 9509 officers,
but I am exposing the actions of certain individuals within Local 9509,
District 9 and the CWA national organization that have brought our Union
into disrepute.
I am well aware of the "character assassination" of me being played out
by District 9 and some officers of Local 9509 in their attempt to justify
their actions. But this website is dedicated to bringing you the truth.
The Truth Is
Certain Union Representatives violated and continue to violate our Local Bylaws,
CWA Constitution, Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA), and
State and Federal Laws.
Their actions have brought disgrace, fines and penalties to our Local from
various government agencies. The fines are being paid for out of funds
accumulated through union dues. Therefore, the general membership is bearing
the financial burden of these indiscretions. Under the leadership of District 9,
officers and others within Local 9509 have undermined the basic rights of our
membership. It is the Union's obligation to insure that the rights of the
membership in electing their leaders are honored, and not be subject to
manipulation and tampering.
